Snapchat is focusing on augmented reality more and more. Last month the company announced a new feature called “Sky Filters” that uses augmented reality to edit the sky in different colours. Sky Filters recognises the sky and the users can choose to change it with starry night, stormy clouds, beautiful sunset, rainbow, and more.
By simply accessing the filters, you can turn a natural sky into an impressive canvas.
The company has started working on promoting themselves more as a camera company than as a simple social network.
Most recently, Snapchat launched a new ‘Crowd Surf’ feature that takes multiple videos and clips from live events such as concerts and stitches them together for one long video. Like much of its recent feature additions, this is powered by artificial intelligence.
Snapchat is available on the App Store for iOS or Android for free.
